Board Break-A-Thon

This weekend was the annual Board Break-A-Thon at the boys Tae Kwon Do.  They do a fundraiser to earn money that will benefit the local Children's Hospital.  Part of this is a performance by the Demo Teams and each child gets to break several boards.  It was a long day, but fun.  I've attached a few pictures and videos.

They did a self defense demo.  It was funny.  Two cute girls fought Ethan and Cole and got to throw them on the ground.

Here is a video of some of their board breaks.

Here is a video of their Demo Team opening performance.

During this video it is hard to see, but Cole is the first person to jump off the launcher and break a board, and Ethan is the second.  Ethan's board doesn't break the first time, but he does it again and it breaks.

Here I am carrying all the boards that they boys broke after the day.

Following this we ran straight to check on the house and see the progress.  It's been slow lately, but we are getting ready for insulations soon.  The kids had fun playing on a large snowy/icy hill in the backyard.

Then we headed over the the indoor place for Ethan's last indoor soccer game.  Cole's start next week so we don't get much of a break.

Valentines Day Boxes

The Annual Valentines boxes are always a fun time, and this year was no exception.

Liv made a giant cupcake box.

Cole made an indoor soccer field box.

Ethan thinks he is getting a little too cool for a valentine's box, but he had fun making this monster box out of duct tape.
Shawn and I went mattress shopping and gave ourselves a new mattresses for Valentines Day.  Here is Shawn testing out all the different mattresses.

Love Weekend

Shawn and I took the kids and spent the weekend in Lake Geneva.  We stayed at the Timber Ridge Resort and they have an indoor water park.  It was a perfect relaxing weekend and we finished it off Saturday night with pizza and chocolate covered strawberries.

Lately..

We have spent many hours at the local indoor soccer place watching Ethan play soccer.

We have spent many hours working on stuff for the house.  Lately it has been focused on some furniture.  When you have been a student for the last decade like we have, you don't tend to have nice things.  We are happily saying goodbye to most of the furniture we have and getting a fresh new start in the house.  Liv has been able to come with Shawn and I to many of the appointments.  She has been very patient (and spent countless hours on Barbie and Disney apps)!

My boys spend most of their time trying to irritate each other.  We had a rare moment in church yesterday when they were sitting so nicely with each other, I couldn't help but take a picture.
