Moving In

We finally got the city inspection approved and are moving into our new house this weekend.

We've gotten rid of all our old furniture and moved most of the rest.

We have been living like this for the past day or two.

Can't wait to spend our first night in the new house.

For a sneak peak at the house check out WWW.RAMBLINGREESESHOUSE.BLOGSPOT.COM

I''ll update it more after the furniture all gets delivered and we are all in.

Chicago

We met my sister and her husband in Chicago for the weekend.
It was a beautiful weekend.  We spent time at Cloud Gate "the bean".

We walked around the Chicago River.

 We walked to Buckingham Fountain.

We went to the Crown Fountains and the kids played in the water and got soaked!

We went to Navy Pier and rode some rides.

We ate at wonderful restaurants and walked all over the city streets.

We even went swimming in the rooftop hotel pool.

Uncle Max and the kids spent the whole weekend creating a story about a Koala named "Fuzzy".  They have great plans to write it into a book and then a movie, in fact Cole spent one of our dinners writing down the story so they wouldn't forget it.  Uncle Max provided great entertainment with all the voices for the characters and we spent so much time laughing about Fuzzy's crazy adventures.  The kids will never forget this weekend and we can't wait to do it again.

Fun Day

The kids spent the day at the lake with friends from our new ward and neighborhood.
Ethan was here too, I just don't have any pictures of him because he was in the lake the hole time.

Followed by a fun late night at the park.

Camping

We took the kids camping this weekend and had a great time.  We stayed up late into the night sitting around the campfire telling stories.  Saturday morning the boys woke up early and started the campfire for breakfast all by themselves.  They were so proud of their fire!

New Schools

As excited as we are for the new house, there is one thing the kids are dreading.  They will all be going to new schools this fall.  We went this morning and got everyone registered.  The schools look wonderful and it was fun to go and see them, but the kids are still a little nervous.

Liv will attend the elementary school for the K3-3rd graders, and Ethan and Cole will attend the school for 4th-6th graders.  There are eight classes per grade, so the schools are crazy big.  The elementary schools are next door to each other, so they will all ride the same bus.  It should be a fun adventure for us this fall.
