Cross Country Meet

Ethan had his first Cross Country Meet yesterday afternoon.  He competed against 400 7th grade boys from different schools across the state.  He took 41st out of 400 kids and was the first person from his middle school to finish.  It was a beautiful course that went through the woods.  Ethan did say that toward the end he threw up a little......   Sounds disgusting, but he still loves Cross Country.

Here is a little video clip of the start, just to give you an idea how many kids there were running.  I had a hard time even finding Ethan.

The Weekend

We've had a busy few days.

The weather has been nice and we have been enjoying some late nights playing outside.

Fun dinners with the neighbors.

Ethan got his cross country uniform and is excited for his first meet on Monday.
It was Youth Night at the football game this weekend.  Cole got to come early and form the tunnel for the football players.  He had a blast.

 Cole is #18

Ethan went to his first middle school dance and then headed over to the football game with his buddies. (I snuck of picture of him without him even knowing :)

Shawn and I also went to the game, it was a beautiful night and we ended up winning!!

Liv had a meet this weekend.  She did well and came home with three medals and a trophy.

Ethan had two soccer games.  They won one game, and lost the other.  Ethan came home with a yellow card after the first game :(

Cole had a football game, which they also won!

We spent lots of time enjoying Ollie!
He went to every football and soccer game and got lots of attention.

We had a fun BBQ  and roasted smores with our friends Saturday night.

Lately...

Ethan joined the cross country team this week.  He runs every day after school from 3-4 and then heads to soccer practice from 5-7.  We spend a lot of time driving to and from places, but he is loving every second of it.

I took Liv for her first real hair cut!

Cole and Liv started school on Friday.  We kind of lost track of the time Friday morning and barely made the bus :)  So, instead of first day of school pictures, I only got first day after school pictures as they got off the bus!

They boys were at black belt class on Friday night.  Liv and I waited outside with Ollie.  Having a puppy has really changed out lifestyle, for good and bad!  We are adjusting.

Back to School Dinner

We had our annual Back to School dinner this past weekend, along with our traditional Schlutie "The Big Carrot", priesthood blessings and a late night swim.

Menu:
Roasted Chicken
Garlic Roasted Asparagus
Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes
Cheesy Bread
Grapes and Watermelon
Limonota Lemonade
Chococlate Peanut Butter Cake

Shawns Car

A few weeks ago we said goodbye to Shawn's FJ Cruiser......

Here is the new addition to our family.

First day of Middle School!!

This morning was the first day of school for Ethan.  Cole and Liv don't start until Friday.  Ethan got up early and showered and got dressed.  He realized he had plenty of extra time so he played around with Ollie for a while.

Here is a view from my walk home from the bus stop at 6:40 in the morning.

And, a cute picture of Cole and Ollie from yesterday!
