Weekly Post

Cole went on the 6th Grade River Trip last week.  My friend was a chaperone on the trip and sent me a few pics.

We had a couple stormy nights lately and even a few tornado warnings.  One night Ethan got home around 9 from a soccer game that was far away, and the power was out.  So he ate dinner in the dark!

We had a Ward Talent show also that I was in charge of.  It went great and we had a lot of fun!

Liv will be doing cheerleading next year in school.  She had uniform pickup this past week.

Friday night Liv had her Gymnastics Spring Exhibition.  Her team put together a little dance and did some tumbling at the end.  It was fun.  Grandma Jo is here visiting and she got to come with us to that.

Grandma also spent time with Liv working on a sewing project.  Glad she had the patience for this, as I definitely do not :)

Ethan had a big soccer tournament the past weekend.  They were playing for a chance to go to Regionals.  The weather was terrible and we sat in the cold rain all day :(  They lost a game and didn't end up going on to Regionals, but Ethan played hard and did a great job.

We got all our pots planted and spent lots of time at the garden center

We have a problem. I only have two kids that play soccer, but we have six cleats :(

Ethan bought me a present at the mall.  He went with some friends to get clothes and came home with a Lush bath bomb for me (sorry blurry pic)

Garage clean out

Another soccer tournament weekend

Cole's first time mowing the lawn.  He did great!

Liv and her friend made me lunch one day.  They're the cutest waitresses!

Ethan and his buddies spent hours one afternoon putting together new bikes they bought.

Went to the movies one night.

Cole has spent hours playing basketball.

Ethan's team ended up taking 2nd place in the tournament.

It was another weekend full of soccer tournaments.  Ethan's team was able to make it to the finals, but ended up losing 2-1, so they took second place.  Coles team started off great, but lost the last two games. Cole even had a sweet goal in one game!

This is Cole's team (sorry it's sideways)

Shawn taught the Young Women CPR!

Oliver is enjoying the patio furntire

Cole decided he wanted to try out for a select basketball team.  We aren't sure if he made it yet, but he put him self out there and tried something new.  We are proud of him!

It's bonfire season :)

Liv wasn't a fan of all the soccer this weekend, but she had fun anyway.

Ethan's 14th birthday was on Sunday.
He wanted a strawberry cake.
I laughed while I was making pink frosting for my 14 year old son :)

Weekly Blog Post

We just got back from a weekend away for Ethan's soccer tournament.  It was a freezing cold weekend with rain and wind, but we had fun anyway.  One of Ethan's friends rode up with us and Liv rode with his family (he has a sister who is Liv's good friend).  We stayed at a waterpark hotel so the kids had plenty of play time.  There was also a volleyball tournament that weekend at the resort, which meant there were lots of girls around the age of 14 at the waterpark also.  Ethan and his buddies spent the majority of the time flirting with the girls :)  It was hilarious!

(I tried to sneak a picture of Ethan and one of the girls he was flirting with)

Ethan's team won two games, but lost one so they didn't get to play in the Championship.
Shawn behaved also :)  I only had to ask him to leave once.

A few things I forgot to blog about recently.
We did Liv's birthday floating lantern one night a few weeks ago.

Liv got braces!  She got an expander a few weeks ago, which made her teeth go all wonky,
so now we are straightening them out.

Cole and his buddies enjoying Skyzone and the massage chairs.

Every Friday night my house is full of kids (mostly boys).  The kids always bring friends home after school.  I come home to a driveway full of boys playing basketball, soccer or eating food in the kitchen.  It's messy and loud, but I love it!

Sometimes I take them on field trips to Walmart.  That usually ends up being a really bad idea :)

Cole had his first soccer games last week also.  They won and Cole did well.

Liv and I attended a play that some of my Young Women were in.
It was a late night, but we had fun!
