Brothers

My brothers came to visit this weekend.  We LOVE visitors!  It was a crazy weekend, but we were able to spend lots of time just playing and relaxing.  My youngest brother is moving away to Hawaii for college in a few weeks and it will probably be a while before we see him again.  My kids idolize their uncles and they had lots of fun with them.

These next two are of my youngest brother.  He wanted to show off a bit.

We also went to a secret restaurant located in downtown Milwaukee called The Safe House.  It is a spy themed restaurant that spares no detail.  You even have to find the secret entrance hidden in an alley and say a secret code to get in.

Here we are looking down the alley for the secret door.  It's not marked and the kids had fun trying to figure out which door would open.

I think we found it

Here we go inside

It was a really fun restaurant.  Behind the hidden door was a small room we found ourselves locked in.  After a few minutes someone spoke through the wall and told us to say the "password".  We actually didn't know the password so she said the only way to tell if we were true secret agents was by a test.  Our test was to do the hula dance.  It was funny.  After we all did a little dance a secret door in the wall opened up and we went inside.  Little did we realize that room is broadcast all over televisions throughout the restaurant so everyone eating can see you make a fool of yourself.  The food wasn't fabulous, but we really went there more for the experience.  They give you a list of secret clues to go and find during dinner.  There are secret doors, moving walls, trick chairs, two way mirrors, and lots of cameras.  The funniest part is the boys bathroom.  When you open the door you hit a brick wall...no bathroom, just a dead end.  The kids loved that.

After dinner you have to find the secret way out.  We finally found it in a hidden closet with a phone.  You have to put in a quarter and then it tells you a secret code.  After entering the code another secret door opens and leads you down through a scary basement exit.  Here we are outside the safe house.

(all pictures at the Safe House are taken with my trusty point and shoot, so don't mind the quality)

Thanks Mike and Matt.  We had such a good weekend.  Love and miss you already :)
