Birthday Party!!
Cole had a great birthday party. We started out with the kids playing on the indoor soccer field. There were a few organized games of dodgeball and kickball. We had a great host (a fun high school age kid), but 14 nine-year old boys pretty much took over :) They just wanted to play and run crazy. So that is what we let them do. It was wonderful!
It was a great nice and I think we sent everyone home exhausted!
Cole requested an ice cream cake.
Friday
The day started out early. Cole was up by 6am ready to open presents.
Field Day started first thing that morning at the school. The kids were outside all day running, playing games, and getting wet with water activities.
That afternoon was the annual teacher vs. 5th grader softball game. Ethan has been looking forward to this for a while. The teachers killed the 5th graders, but Ethan did get to field the ball a few times and did great.
We finished the day with a birthday party for Cole at the Indoor Soccer Complex. I have a whole other post coming with pictures from that party. It was loud and crazy, but we all survived.
We also stopped by the house to check on the progress. The yard has been graded and they laid down some stone for the base of the driveway. It looks great!
And, all our lights finally arrived. All these boxes make it seems like we have a crazy amount of lights, but I can't wait until they get them all installed.

Cole's Birthday Pics and Video
Today is Cole's birthday.
Cole is probably the loudest child I know. Seriously, I can hear him across the field, gym, pool, store and everywhere else. He just is loud and so loveable.
Making friends is so natural for him, and he usually has kids swarming around him everywhere he goes. People just love his contagious smile and laugh.
Cole loves to have a good time. Always playing games, always looking for ways to have fun.
He is always dirty and always playing hard and aggressive.
He is passionate and intense in every thing he does.
Cole has a very tender heart and always reaches out to help others, especially younger kids and babies.
Cole is quick to anger but also quick to love and accept.
He is the best at snuggling up next to me and telling me that he loves me.
We love you Cole! Happy Birthday
Here are Cole's birthday pictures. He insisted on doing his own hair (the zigzag part is killing me)
And now his birthday video..

Cole's Week
I spend yesterday morning with Cole and his school class on a field trip. We walked to the library, which is a couple miles away, in the pouring rain. It was crazy!
Cole also decided he wanted to try out for the Academy Soccer Team (competition level) this year. He made a brave decision to tryout in a new city. The teams are based off which city you live in and since we are moving to a new city in the next month he is trying out in the new place. This means he doesn't know anyone and is the "new guy" on the block. He was soooo nervous for his tryouts, but went and did it anyway. He did a great job and already made a few friends by the end of the day. He was #63 for the tryouts.
Cole's birthday is also tomorrow, and he's got big plans. It's been a fun and exciting week for him.

Spring Video
It's been a while since I made a video of the kids. Ethan's soccer practice was cancelled last night so we had a free night. I took the kids to the park and we made this video.

Saturday
We started Saturday morning at gymnastics. Liv got to try on competition leotards to find the right size. She was loving the sparkly pink.
We then headed for the boys soccer games. It was a beautiful day. The boys have been loving soccer practice this past week, the weather has been amazing.
Then I took the kids to try the pool and club house in our new neighborhood. The kids had a great time and I'm sure we will be spending many days and nights there in the future.
