Finally Spring

Best Buddies

These two are inseparable.  They are the best of friends and the worst of friends.  If I survive them I'll be a happy mom.  They are so sneaky and get into so much mischief its crazy, but aren't the cute!

Birthday Celebration

We started off Ethan's birthday bright and early at a school Fundraiser at the Zoo.  It was a 1 mile fun run.  Both Ethan and Cole signed up, but somehow I ended up running it with Cole, while Liv and Shawn waited at the finish line.  I was so proud of both Ethan and Cole.  Ethan ran really fast and finished as one of the top of the Elementary kids his age, and Cole really didn't want to do it, but he ran as fast as he could and endured it to the end.  We spent the rest of the morning at the Zoo checking out all the animals.

 
Next, Ethan got to choose where we went for lunch and he choose Five Guys.  So we had burgers and fries for lunch.  We got home and then Ethan opened his presents which included a new golf set, golf balls, and a new Packers jersey.  So Shawn and Ethan decided to go golfing and test out Ethan's new stuff.  They spent the afternoon at golfing and then we had a birthday dinner party in the evening.  It was a fun day!

Last we had Lightsaber Cake.  Ethan is pretty obsessed right now with Star Wars, so this was the requested cake. 

Moms and Music

On Friday I got to spent time with Cole at school for a "Moms and Music" celebration.  It was kind of a mothers day celebration.  We spend time in the classroom having muffins and juice while the kids presented the moms with flowers and poems they wrote.

Then we went to the music room where the kids performed a few songs they have been practicing about moms.  It was very sweet and several songs had many mothers in tears.  They had a few songs that the moms got to join in on and play some musical instruments.  I got to play the xylophone, which was a first for me.  It was such a fun morning.  I love my crazy Cole!

Today my oldest is 8 years old!

Wow, it's crazy that I have a child that old.

He is such a good kid.

He is kind and gentle.

He is full of energy and ideas.

He is impulsive and intense

He is sensitive and tender.

He likes legos and star wars.

He is responsible and trustworthy.

He takes the longest, hottest showers ever.

He is a night owl.

He loves to run fast and is a good swimmer.

He eats slow and is indecisive.

He loves ice skating and art.

He is a dreamer.

He is silly and stubborn.

Everything I always wanted in a son :)

Preschool Graduation

 

This morning was Liv's preschool graduation.  It was a little cold, but we had fun at the park. 

Spring Planting Day

This past weekend we finally had a weekend that wasn't full of rain, and the temperature actually reached above 50 so I declared it Spring Planting Day.  A while ago when went and let the kids pick out a bunch of seeds and plants.  On saturday we got everything planted and the yard cleaned up.  I can't wait to see what the yard looks like in a few weeks.  My lilac bush is almost ready to burst.
