Zoo Night
Liv and I had a fun date night tonight. We went to the Zoo with Liv's gymnastics team for a special night out. The boys went out for Pizza with Shawn and played at the park while we were at the zoo.
We've spent most of our time this past week doing this....

This Week
The kids have swimming lessons and soccer camps this week. It's been busy so far.
We have also been making snow cones
Cole came into my room the other night dressed like this. He requested a picture.

Happy 4th of July
We decided to skip the parade this year. The candy thrown at the parade here is very minimal and good candy is a parade requirement for our family. Plus everyone loved sleeping in :) Don't worry we weren't complete party poopers. We had a BBQ and swim party with our neighbors all afternoon. The kids had fun running around playing games, water balloons, and swimming in the pool
We walked down to the fireworks later in the evening. The fireworks were actually much better this year and we had great seats.

Lights Out
We spent some time at the park yesterday. The kids have "summer exercise plans". It's like summer boot camp for kids. So far it's been fun, and we pretty much just play most of the time. The boys involve some dribble and shooting drills so we usually end up at the park. Yesterday I was there with my little "Messi" and "Donovan" wannabes.
We do sit-ups
Liv gets serious about her push-ups.
Then it started raining so we had to run home. We had some pretty intense storms come through last night. We lost power for about 8 hours. The kids couldn't figure out what to do without the TV and their iPods. We couldn't really go outside because of the crazy storms. We tried a few games in the dark...
The kids also tired a little Sumo Wrestling and I took a shower in the dark with a flashlight :)
The power went on at about 2am and of course every light in the house flipped on and woke everyone up. It was a long hot night without the air conditioning (fortunately for Shawn he was working at the hospital and didn't have to suffer trying to sleep without air.
In other news, earlier in the day Liv did this at gymnastics.

Day 10 (Last Day)
Today was our last day in San Diego. It was supposed to be a beach day for us, and we tried for a few hours, but the sun never came out. It was overcast and cloudy most of the day. We ended up doing a million loads of laundry to get ready and got our bags packed.
We headed to Old Town San Diego for the evening. We went to dinner at Coyote Cafe.
Here is Liv and I making faces while we waited for dinner. There are a lot of us (31 to be exact) so it can take a while to get food.
We walked around Old Town and did some shopping after dinner. We ended up spending almost $50.00 at the candy store. It was ridiculous!
We have had a wonderful time with cousins, grandparents, and siblings. Can't wait to do it again.
Everyone is tired and ready to go home. We have a 6am flight in the morning, so hopefully the kids will continue to be tired and sleep on the flight home:)
Goodbye San Diego!

Day 9
We headed to the San Diego Zoo this morning.
We headed home and swam in the pool for a while.
After dinner we walked down the boardwalk to the Baked Bear. It is a ice cream and cookie place. You choose the kind of cookie and the kind of ice cream and make a custom ice cream sandwich. I had a brownie on the bottom, strawberry cheesecake ice cream in the middle, and a chocolate chip cookie on top. It was amazing!
We walked down the pier after and watched the surfers for a while.
