Old World Wisconsin

I went with Cole's class on a field trip this week to Old World Wisconsin.  We learned how the German farmers lived back in the 1840s.  We had a great time.

Here is Cole and I on the 45 minute bus ride.  Cole ALWAYS chooses the back bench.  It was a long ride with 40+ screaming 2nd graders on the back of a bumpy bus.

We learned to make rope, bread, shingles, sew clothes out of flax, played games and lots of fun stuff.

The kids also got to play tug-o-war with 2 oxen.  There is no sound because the volume is broken on my phone, but Cole is the one in the front of the rope.
