Weekly Post

This week was Spring Break.  We had a pretty quiet week around here.  Lots of sleeping in :)

The kids spent many hours outside riding bikes and building a fort somewhere in the woods.  They would not disclose the actually location, so I never saw it, but I did see all the mud they brought home and the backpack full of shovels and axes!

Liv got a new bike.  She finally graduated form the pink barbie one she got when she was five and can now join the forces of the neighborhood bike gang!  They did get in trouble one night when they went out for a late night ride in the dark and we couldn't find them :(

Shawn and I took the boys to a new driving range.  It was outdoor, but had huge heaters so it was nice and warm.

Liv had gymnastics every day this week.  She is working on a back handspring on the beam, which makes me nervous to watch!

The missionaries came over to practice the discussions with Shawn and I.  We invited Ethan to join us and he had a great time.  In two weeks they have invited Ethan to prepare and present the 1st discussion to them.

Shawn and I won the award on Thursday for the best "couple rowing" distance for our Orange Theory class this week.  We rowed 10, 500 meters.

We went to a family pottery class Friday afternoon.

Cole had the time of his life Friday night.  His good friend's dad is the Milwaukee Bucks Strength Coach.  So Cole was invited by his friend to the game, in the family seats.  He got to sit right behind the team and have access to the family room with lots of free food and treats.  We watched most of the game at home on TV and even Cole a few times standing on the floor right by the team.

Apparently Cole made a deal with the Bucks Media/Team Manager.  The deal was that if the Bucks won, they would sign Cole's basketball and that if they lost they would not sign it.  The Bucks ended up pulling off a great win Friday night and Cole came home with a signed basketball by all the team members.  They got to stay after and meet and talk with many of the players.  Unfortunately, my friends phone died and so I don't even have one picture, but Cole had a pretty amazing night!

He spent the night at his friends because they got back late after the game.  He went Saturday morning with his friend to play basketball at the church and then he finally came home around noon.

While Cole was out partying, the rest of us went out to dinner with friends and then Liv and her friend spent the night "crafting".

Saturday morning we were welcomed to a beautiful spring day by snow :(  Oliie was the only one happy about the snow.

(not a real rat, just a toy)

Shawn and Ethan went out to dinner and then watched the priesthood session Saturday night.  We enjoyed a nice Sunday listening to conference!
