Last Day

Today was our last day in San Diego.  We leave in the morning.  We went to La Jolla Cove this morning.  The waves were pretty rough and within seconds Cole picked a fight with a huge wave and lost.  It scared him pretty bad so we didn't stick around much longer, but it was beautiful.

We relaxed on the beach all afternoon with the whole family, all 29 of us.  It was wonderful.  The kids played all day with smiles and laughter and didn't fight once, while Shawn and I sat down and chatted with the grown-ups.  The other night someone left this cool dolphin in the sand and the kids had fun with it.

For dinner we all went to Old Town and walked around the shops, spent $40 dollars at the fun candy store and then went to dinner at Cafe Coyotoe.  Dinner was delicious and we were even serenaded by a little mariachi band singing La Bamba (shawn's request).

We finished with our night on the beach one last time.  It was a beautiful and relaxing vacation, just what Shawn and I needed.  Now we are heading to Utah for the next week to enjoy more family time.
