Utah

We are having a great time in Utah.  I've hardly even had time to catch up on my blog for the past few days.  We started by stopping and spending Saturday night in Las Vegas on our way home from San Diego.  It was fun to drive by our old neighborhood and house (Hi Krista, Hi Lauren) and even the kids old elementary school.  We finished driving home to Utah and then had a nice family dinner with Shawn's family and grandparents.  It's been over a year since we have seen Shawn's or my grandparents.

Monday morning we got up early and went into the new City Creek mall.  The mall is amazing!!  Our main purpose was to get Shawn and new suit for his upcoming job interviews.

We spent the evening riding bikes, playing tennis, face painting, slip and sliding and swimming in grandpa and grandma's pool.

Tuesday we got up early (despite protests) to hike Adam's Canyon in Kaysville with my sister and her family, my aunt and my mom.  It was listed as a moderate hike with some hard spots, but after doing it I would say it was a hard hike with some moderate spots.  It was 3.5 miles roundtrip and the kids did a great job and hiked all the way, but they were exhausted.  We even climbed a few risky spots that were straight up rocky slops or scaling rock walls.  At the end we were rewarded with a big 40 foot waterfall.  The kids were filthy after the hike so rather than drag dirt inside we just jumped in the pool with our clothes on.
